For this moutain scenery photo of Mount McKinley I needed to hike up a mountain to show the form of Wonder Lake, as well as some of the nice fall colors we had at that time. The lake and the colors in the foreground are giving the image a bit of depth which was needed. I actually planned to photograph the reflections of Mount McKinley in the lake but the wind would not cooperate with me, so I changed my plan and decided to show it as a nature scenery in fall.
